DOES THIS TRAINING REALLY WORK?
Yes it absolutely does! If you follow the plan and the rules laid out in it, I can guarantee you that your child will be sleeping independently and through the night in no time! This philosophy has helped over 80,000 parents solve their baby’s sleep issues for more than 15 years!

WILL THIS TRAINING WORK FOR MY INFANT, BABY AND TODDLER?
Absolutely! The beauty about this program is that it caters for all age groups from the little ones to the older boys and girls too. And better still, it is very possible to train twins and even triplets. Sure it will take a bit more work but it is totally doable!

HOW IS YOUR TRAINING DIFFERENT FROM THE CRY –IT-OUT METHOD?
The “cry-it-out” method works like this:

Step 1: Put child to bed.
Step 2: Walk away.
Step 3: Let child scream, cry, howl etc. until child is asleep.
Now, while the CIO method does work, most parents simply aren’t comfortable with it. A parent’s brain is “wired” to listen to the hysterical crying of their child without doing something to comfort them!
With the program I will create for you, I will give you the gentlest approach on getting your baby to fall asleep independently.
Please understand that I will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will I ask you to ignore their cries. The reason that The Sleep Sense™ Program is so effective is that is allows you develop a plan that you feel comfortable with, based on what you know about your child. In fact, I encourage parents to be in the room with their child, comforting them and helping them fall asleep on their own.

IS CRYING FOR MY BABY NECESSARY?
Since people always ask me about whether this program involves “crying it out,” I think it’s something that deserves to be addressed here.

Crying is your child’s way of protesting change, and you can expect that making changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest. That’s why I’m always sure to tell parents that the program will most likely involve at least some amount of protest on the child’s part.

The important thing to remember is that it’s not the crying that will help your little one fall asleep — it’s the self-soothing strategies that he will have an opportunity to develop in order to stop himself from crying. His crying comes from a change to the old routine. Putting your baby in his crib at night awake might be a completely new experience for him. He will be confused and upset by this new change, and yes, he’ll probably cry to express his displeasure.
But remember that your child wants to stop crying as much – if not more – than you want him to. He’ll cry for a while because he knows that this is the strategy that has worked for him in the past, but once he figures out that it’s up to him to get himself to sleep, he’ll likely figure out how to make that happen faster than you’d think!

The bottom line is, change of any kind is a difficult thing for everyone. How many times have you vowed to eat healthier, quit smoking, or exercise more? Making change happen is tough for us adults, so it is only fair to expect our children to find it difficult as well.
